I can’t get to an article, eBook, or online resource/database even when I link to it from a Library web tool (e.g., Journal Finder, WorldCat Research Station, Research Guide, Online Resources/Databases List). What can I do?

Answer

If you have Taylor University’s VPN (Virtual Private Network) turned on, it may interfere with the authentication needed in order to access that article, eBook, or database. Turn off Taylor’s VPN and try again to link to the article, eBook, or database from the Library web tool you used.

You may be asked to log in to a Taylor authentication screen using your myTaylor login and password. If this doesn’t solve the problem, contact Shawn Denny, noting the browser you were using (e.g., Chrome), the page from which you were linking (e.g., Databases List), the link you were trying to access (e.g., Academic Search Premier), and the citation of the article or eBook needed or the name of the online resource/database you were trying to access.
